ABOUT

ART+ISA = ARTISA

Isabella Duicu Palowitch

Isabella Duicu Palowitch founded ARTISA LLC 25 years ago. Classically trained in the fine arts in Romania, with an MFA in visual arts from Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, Isabella’s designs are strongly influenced by the fundamental artistic principles of proportion, color, composition, and expression.

At ARTISA LLC, we believe that design works best when function and aesthetics connect to form a final product that exceeds our clients’ goals and visions. We embrace each project from concept to delivery of final work, in a boutique-like fashion with dedication to detail.

ARTISA LLC is an award-winning graphic design studio, in the Princeton, New Jersey area. Specializing in graphic design and marketing for art and music-related organizations, museums, art galleries, universities, foundations, and other not-for-profits, ARTISA excels in creating elegant museum books, exhibition catalogues, fundraising gala invitations and related materials, educational conference publications, self-published books, and catalogues, and image consulting.

Design awards include numerous Graphic Design USA, Neographics, Case Gold Awards, CAMA Awards, and Benjamin Franklin Premier Print Awards. ARTISA books are selling at major museum bookstores.

“There are three responses to a piece of design—yes, no, and WOW!” ~ Milton Glaser

“WOW” is the one we have a passion for and aim to achieve.

GRATITUDE

Deepest gratitude to Matt Mateiescu (mattmakesmoves.com) for the photography of the ARTISA BOOKS, his generosity, superb creative genius, and professional know-how in the creation of this site.

Infinite gratitude to my collaborator of 25 years, dream friend, book production virtuoso magician, Margaret Trejo of Trejo Production, who not only “opened the gates” of Princeton University and Princeton Symphony Orchestra for me 25 and, respectively, 22 years ago with her recommendation, but continued to help me produce most of these books in record time.

Deepest gratitude to each and every client, including those not featured in this brief retrospective, for trusting ARTISA to be their creative partner over the last 25 years.

TESTIMONIALS

ARTISA founder/principal Isabella Palowitch has been an integral part of the public face of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra for many years. The quality of her work, together with the love and care that are present throughout every project she takes on, always gives us confidence that our ideas will successfully reach our audiences through striking yet nuanced visuals. This is especially true of her award-winning designs for our benefit gala invitations."
